Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd is looking for an experienced YR3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Canterbury, East Kent. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to YR3 students.

Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, focusing on their individual learning goals.

Creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters self-esteem.

Assisting in the development and implementation of educational plans for students with special educational needs.

Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the class teacher as necessary.
Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is essential.

Strong background in Primary education with a solid understanding of the Year 3/KS2 curriculum.

Understanding of SEND principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.

Proactive approach to problem-solving with a patient and empathetic attitude.

Relevant qualifications in education or childcare will be advantageous.
