Yard / Depot Operative - Midlands

We're looking for someone who's practical, reliable and enjoys getting stuck in. Maybe you've worked in a warehouse, yard, builders’ merchant, distribution centre or similar environment and have some experience using a forklift, even if your licence has expired or you've never held one formally. Full training can be provided for the right person.

No two days are the same. One day you'll be preparing equipment and organising stock, the next you could be helping deliver equipment to customers or supporting engineers on site. If you're someone who likes variety rather than standing in the same place all day, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

What you'll be doing

• Keeping the depot, warehouse and yard organised, safe and running efficiently.
• Picking and preparing equipment for customer projects.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Stock control and inventory checks.
• Operating a forklift (training available if required).
• Assisting with light assembly and equipment preparation.
• Occasionally travelling to customer sites to help deliver or install equipment after training.
• Working closely with engineers and the wider operations team.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience in a warehouse, yard, depot or similar hands-on environment.
• Have driven a forklift previously (an in-date licence isn't essential).
• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Are 25 or over (due to vehicle insurance requirements).
• Are reliable, hardworking and take pride in doing a good job.
• Want to learn, develop and build a long-term career rather than just finding your next job.
