We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This is a hybrid role combinng supervisory responsibility, operational warehouse duties, forklift operation, and office-based administration. The successful candidate will be lead by example on the warehouse floor whilst ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency and adherence to health & safety standards.
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
- Ensure all stock is handled, stored and recorded accurately
- Carry out order picking, packing, wrapping, labelling, shipping and receiving
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies
- Conduct quality control checks on all outbound orders
- Report any incidents involving stock, equipment, property or personnel
Forklift Duties
- Operate forklift equipment to load, unload and move gods
- Ensure safe handling and correct weight distribution when loading HGVs
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report faults promptly
- Handle pallets and materials safely in line with procedures
Administration & Stock Control
- Process delivery notes, booking-in sheets, stock transfers and picking lists
- Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems or Excel
- Manage warehouse booking spreadsheets for inbound and outbound planning
- Track deliveries, investigate missing items and report discrepancies
- Produce regular reports on stock checks, delivery performance, and operational issues
- Liaise with transport providers, suppliers and internal teams
Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and support warehouse staff on a daily basis
- Allocate tasks and monitor performance
- Assist with training and onboarding of new employees
- Ensure all staff follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines
- Lead by example to maintain high operational standards
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse experience (supervisory experience preferred)
- Valid FLT licence
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and warehouse systems
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively both on the warehouse floor and in an office environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
