A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing operation. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-focused individual who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and delivering excellent service to customers.
Working as part of the warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, checked, and dispatched accurately, safely, and on time. You will support the smooth running of warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of stock control, quality, and workplace organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Ensure goods are correctly packaged, staged, loaded, and ready for delivery or collection
- Complete finishing and dispatch activities to ensure orders leave the site right first time, on time, and defect-free
- Update warehouse systems with accurate information and report any issues promptly
- Receive incoming goods and check quantities and quality against requirements
- Maintain accurate stock records and support stock checks and inventory control processes
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company standards
- Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or process issues
- Safely load and unload delivery vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely and correctly
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support continuous improvement activities
About You
The successful candidate will be a reliable and motivated warehouse professional with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage priorities while maintaining excellent standards.
You will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
- A valid forklift licence and practical forklift experience (essential)
- Experience using ERP, warehouse management, or stock control systems
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A practical approach to solving day-to-day operational challenges
- The ability to follow processes and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to improvements
