Training Manager
Location: Mid Kent (Hybrid Working)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
We are seeking a Training Manager to join a leading business in Mid Kent. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning and capability development across Operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working at the intersection of people development, operations and regulation, whilst making a difference to customer experience and service quality.
Duties Include:
- Define and lead a comprehensive learning and capability approach for Operations, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory expectations, and wider business goals.
- Create clear development pathways, competency frameworks, and skills matrices that enable progression from initial onboarding to advanced levels of expertise.
- Oversee the delivery of impactful, practical, and blended learning programmes covering operational procedures, systems, customer experience, and compliance.
- Develop onboarding experiences that accelerate time-to-competency and equip new starters with the confidence and consistency to perform effectively from the outset.
- Maintain high standards across all training activity, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements through close collaboration with operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
- Leverage data, insights, and feedback to evaluate learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in capability across Operations.
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Extensive background in training leadership, learning and development, or capability-building roles.
- Demonstrated success in creating and implementing comprehensive learning strategies and structured development programmes from concept through to delivery.
- Proven experience supporting customer-focused operations, service environments, or other high-tempo, performance-driven settings.
- Comfortable working in regulated or compliance-led environments, with the ability to simplify complex requirements into practical and engaging learning solutions.
