Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a background in electro-optics, defence or high-tech manufacturing?

The role
As a Systems Engineer, you will:
- Carry out systems engineering and analysis across a wide product range
- Work collaboratively with product line, software and mechanical engineering teams
- Support sales and business development with technical proposals, notes and reports
- Provide accurate time and cost estimates for projects
- Identify risks during new product introduction and propose effective mitigation
- Keep up to date with relevant systems engineering techniques, proposing new solutions where appropriate
- Visit customers and suppliers when required
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Electronics or similar (essential)
- Proven experience in systems engineering, ideally in electro-optics, electro-mechanics, defence or homeland security
- Experience with FMEA analysis
- Strong mathematical skills, plus knowledge of Matlab/Octave, C# or Python
- Effective communicator, able to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Flexible, team-focused approach with a positive, solution-driven mindset
