Stock Controller / Goods In Operative – Manufacturing
Location: Hythe, Kent
Salary: £24,750 – £25,350 + quarterly bonus (negotiable dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays!

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working with a long-established precision manufacturing business operating within a busy, quality-critical production environment. This organisation places a strong emphasis on accuracy, organisation and teamwork to ensure manufacturing operations run smoothly.
This role would suit a proactive Stock Controller or Goods In Operative who enjoys hands-on work, maintaining accurate records and supporting production teams by ensuring materials and components are received, stored and distributed efficiently.
The Role
- Receive, check and accurately record incoming goods, consumables and subcontracted items
- Distribute purchased items efficiently to production and engineering departments
- Maintain accurate stock levels for work-in-progress and bought-in components
- Support production teams by ensuring stock records remain accurate and up to date
- Assist with the despatch of finished goods as required
- Provide cover for raw material stores during holiday periods
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe environment
About You
- Previous experience within a stores, goods-in or stock control role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational skills with a methodical and accurate approach to work
- Comfortable using computer-based stock control systems
- Good attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Clear communicator who works well as part of a team
- Forklift or side-loader experience beneficial, though training can be provided
