Quality Inspector – Mechanical Components
Location: Near Marden, Kent (Hybrid working available after training)
Salary: £26,500 – £30,000 + 10% annual bonus + excellent benefits
Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with a background in automotive, aerospace, or mechanical engineering?
We’re seeking a skilled professional to join a growing manufacturer and distributor of high-quality mechanical components, ensuring that every product meets strict technical and industry standards.
This role is ideal for someone detail-focused, hands-on, and confident with inspection, measurement, and quality processes — someone who takes real pride in precision.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect and validate mechanical and automotive components and sub-assemblies
- Carry out dimensional and visual checks using a range of measurement tools
- Review technical drawings and specifications to confirm accuracy and compliance
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues
- Support internal and external audits and ensure quality records are maintained
- Assist with product approvals and process improvements across the department
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a quality inspection or engineering quality role
- Background in automotive, aerospace, or related mechanical manufacturing
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measurement tools
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with excellent record-keeping skills
- Confident communication skills to collaborate across departments
- Engineering or technical qualification preferred (e.g. Level 3 or equivalent)

Additional Details
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
