A well-established specialist manufacturer supplying into the aerospace sector is looking to strengthen its Quality team with an experienced Quality Engineer.
This is a growth role driven by increased production demand — not a replacement. The business has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, long-term staff retention and internal progression. Quality is taken seriously here, and the team works collaboratively to maintain exceptionally high standards.
This opportunity would suit someone with genuine quality experience in a manufacturing environment who wants to be involved in systems, improvement and problem solving — not just inspection.
The role
This is predominantly a quality systems and documentation-focused role, with regular interaction on the shop floor to support production teams and resolve issues.
You’ll sit at the centre of the Quality function, working across systems, audits and process improvement, while remaining visible and engaged with manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and improving quality documentation and systems
- Supporting production teams with quality-related issues
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Supporting supplier and customer quality activities
- Contributing to QMS development and system improvements
- Using Microsoft-based systems and ERP tools to manage data
This is not a purely hands-on inspection role, nor is it a desk-only position — it requires someone comfortable balancing structured systems work with practical manufacturing support.
What we’re looking for
- Experience within a manufacturing quality environment
- Strong understanding of quality systems and documentation control
- Confident using Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to adapt when priorities shift in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with customers and suppliers
Aerospace experience is beneficial but not essential. A solid background in manufacturing quality is key.
What’s on offer
- Salary of £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
- Early finish every Friday
- Genuine progression opportunities within a growing business
- Ongoing training and development, including audit exposure
- Stable, long-term opportunity within a specialist manufacturer
- Supportive and collaborative team culture
If you’re working in manufacturing quality and looking for a role where you can genuinely influence systems and processes — rather than simply maintain them — we’d love to hear from you.
