£14.20 per hour (overtime available, paid at time and a half and double time!)

Rotational shift pattern
A Fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client based in Headcorn. Our client is currently seeking a Quality Controller to join their busy Food Production team within a factory-based environment. Shifts are weekly rotational 07:00 -15:00 & 15:00 – 23:00.
Duties for this role include:
- Testing and inspection of materials, ensuring all specifications are met and exceptions are reported and acted upon in a timely manner
- Raw material and packaging intake inspection, reconciliation of delivery notes and certificates of analysis, ensuring full intake traceability and quality
- Chemical, physical and sensory testing and positive release of finished products
- Record and reporting of all testing and inspection results
- Creating and sending daily Quality Assurance Certificates, ensuring all products meet specifications
- Answering any customer queries in a professionally and timely
- Carrying out sensory life analysis of all finished products
- Collect and send sample to schedule to UKAS contract laboratory
- Carry out full traceability and mass balance exercises as required by internal and external auditors
- Any other duties as required
To be considered for this role, you must have/be:
- Some experience working with food would be preferred
- An understanding of what quality control is; any experience of basic quality checks would be beneficial
- A food hygiene certificate – this isn’t essential but would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- The ability to use technology at a basic level - data input using computers
- Physical ability to work within a 'hands on' role - you will be on your feet within a factory environment
- Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
