Production Technician / Machine Setter

£30,000 – £32,000 DOE + overtime + benefits
Mon–Fri, 40 hours, early Friday finish!

We are looking for a Production Technician / Machine Setter to join a well-established manufacturing business in Medway.
This is a hands-on position working with bespoke machinery, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting, operating and maintaining production machinery to manufacture quality parts
- Using fault-finding and root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly
- Carrying out daily/weekly machine checks and minor maintenance tasks
- Working collaboratively with production, maintenance and management teams
- Ensuring safe working practices are always followed
- Supporting continuous improvements in processes and production output
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in machine setting and operating within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A logical thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
(A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be a real advantage, but not essential.)
