Production Team Leader
Location: Rochester – only candidates who drive and have their own vehicle can be considered due to location and hours
Package: £41,650 per annum + benefits
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 – 16:30, Friday: 06:00 – 14:30 (48 hours weekly)
Some flexibility may occasionally be required to support wider operational activities.

Are you an experienced manufacturing Team Leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, driving standards and getting the best from people?
We're working with a specialist engineering manufacturer that is looking to strengthen one of its key production areas with the appointment of a Production Team Leader. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take responsibility for a skilled team, ensuring production targets are achieved whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
This opportunity would suit somebody who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, solving problems, improving processes and helping others develop.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team within a busy manufacturing environment
- Coordinating daily production activities to ensure output and delivery requirements are achieved
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality and workflow efficiency
- Monitoring performance, attendance and resource planning across the department
- Supporting training, coaching and development of team members
- Working closely with wider operational teams to resolve issues and drive improvements
- Maintaining accurate production records and operational documentation
- Promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
- Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels of the business
- Experience working within quality-driven production environments
- A proactive leadership style with the ability to motivate and engage others
Candidates from precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, foundry, metal processing, machining, fabrication or other technical manufacturing sectors are particularly encouraged to apply.
