You’ll be joining a close-knit team within a critical inspection function, where your work directly contributes to the quality and safety of complex engineered components.
THE ROLE
As a Trainee X-Ray Operator, you will be trained in non-destructive testing techniques, working with specialist equipment to inspect components and ensure they meet strict quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting radiographic inspection processes using approved techniques
- Learning how to interpret and assess inspection results accurately
- Identifying defects or irregularities and escalating where required
- Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards
- Ensuring all processes are followed with precision and consistency
Full training will be provided, including working towards industry-recognised NDT certification.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- A technical mindset – engineering, mechanical or quality-based exposure is ideal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in engineering
Any exposure to engineering qualifications (NVQ, BTEC, apprenticeship etc.) would be advantageous but not essential.
