About the Role:
As Nursery Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are met. You will have responsibility for managing staff, supporting children’s learning, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the daily operation and management of the nursery.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of nursery practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support children’s development in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
- Oversee the safeguarding and well-being of all children in your care, ensuring that nursery policies are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain excellent relationships with parents and guardians, providing feedback on children's progress and supporting their development at home.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, well-resourced, and conducive to children's learning and development.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Childcare (essential).
- Previous leadership experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, demonstrating strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- A passion for early years education and a desire to support children’s learning and development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a deputy manager or leadership role in a nursery setting.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and early years legislation.
- A creative approach to curriculum planning and staff development.

Expected Working Hours:
