NPI / Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

We are working with a well-established precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing organisation seeking a skilled NPI / Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is a key position responsible for leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through to full production. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys managing complex technical projects, working cross-functionally, and driving high-quality manufacturing outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of NPI projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role combines project management, technical engineering expertise, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initial concept/quotation through to production handover
- Plan and deliver projects in line with Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets
- Chair project review meetings and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers (tooling, fixtures, machining, CAD, drawings)
- Support development of robust manufacturing processes and production tooling
- Create and maintain work instructions, control documentation, and technical records
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
About You
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years’ experience within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Strong project management experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
Desirable:
- Experience within aerospace or highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of casting or complex manufacturing processes
- Experience with APQP/PPAP processes
- Familiarity with PFMEA/DFMEA and risk management tools
- Experience using SPC for process analysis
- Exposure to OEM/customer-facing environments

Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
