This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer with some solid postgraduate in industry experience to join a growing New Product Development team within a well-established manufacturing business operating in the healthcare sector.
The role offers genuine involvement across the full product lifecycle, working closely with experienced engineers and manufacturing teams to design, develop and refine products used internationally.
The role includes:
- Designing and developing new products for international markets, including the US
- Producing and modifying 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Creating and maintaining product drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting product testing, validation and design improvement activities
- Liaising with manufacturing, quality and operations to ensure designs are fit for manufacture
- Ensuring designs meet relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
- Supporting overseas collaboration as required
What we’re looking for:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
- Around 2–3 years’ experience in a design engineering or product development role
- Confident use of SolidWorks in a commercial environment (PDM exposure beneficial)
- Experience supporting products through testing and into manufacture
- A hands-on, practical approach with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally
