37-hour week – 8am-4.30pm (Mon-Thurs) and a half-day Friday!

Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing / Assembly Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an engineering background with excellent working knowledge of assembly techniques and processes.
As a Manufacturing / Assembly Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of all components, products and assemblies are up to customer standards. Duties include:
- Responsible for the manufacturing of prototype components and the process of assembly to build them.
- Keep to a tight deadline, ensuring quantity and quality is produced in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain the orders and manufacturing of any tools / equipment required.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to carry out assembly.
- Keep accurate documentation to produce status reports for quality standards on orders.
- Provide maintenance and fault diagnosis on equipment.
- Carry out final quality inspections to be ready for despatch.
The successful candidate will have / be:
- Excellent knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications
- The ability to interpret specifications into production using a variety of assembly techniques and processes.
- A HNC or apprenticeship equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- A solid understanding of engineering principles and processes.
- Previous use of measuring techniques and equipment.
- Familiar with CAD models / Solid works.
- Experience with GD&T and Metrology is desirable.
