Inclusion Room Lead
October 2025 Start
Maidstone, Kent
Temporary
£100 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
Do you have a strong presence, a calm approach, and a passion for supporting young people to get back on track?
A school in Maidstone is seeking a confident, engaging, and resilient individual to lead their Inclusion Room starting in October 2025.
The role involves managing a designated space for students who have been temporarily removed from lessons due to behaviour issues. You will play a crucial role in settling students, promoting reflection, and reinforcing the school’s behavioural expectations through consistent, positive reinforcement. Your goal will be to support pupils in understanding the impact of their behaviour and help them successfully reintegrate into the classroom.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills, excellent behaviour management strategies, and a real commitment to improving student outcomes. While previous experience in a similar role is desirable, it is not essential.
This position would suit someone with experience in pastoral support, youth work, teaching assistant roles, or anyone with a background in working with young people in challenging situations.
In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
• A calm, firm, and consistent approach to behaviour management
• The ability to build positive relationships quickly with students
• Confidence in de-escalating challenging situations
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
Working for Pearson Whiffin Education means you get:
• A consultant with 16 years of recruitment experience in secondary schools in Kent
• A dedicated candidate manager to answer any questions or queries you have
• Support with profile and CV writing to best represent your career history
• A team that knows the local schools and can guide you through the interview process
