A well-established manufacturing business in East Kent is on the lookout for a HR & Payroll Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. If you’ve got a solid understanding of employment law and enjoy being part of a busy, supportive team, this could be a perfect fit.
Payroll experience would be a bonus but don’t worry if you don’t have it yet, full training will be provided!
Duties Include:
- Prepare and process payroll for both weekly and monthly employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
- Support recruitment administration, including coordinating interviews and onboarding new starters
- Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, payroll, and general employment matters
- Ensure compliance with current employment legislation and internal policies
- Assist with HR processes such as absence tracking, holiday records, and employee updates
- Provide general administrative support across HR and payroll as required
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- A good understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Previous experience in an HR or payroll administration role
- Payroll system experience is beneficial, but not essential as training can be provided
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload and stay organised in a busy environment
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced office setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
