Health & Safety Manager

My client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a Manufacturing background to join their team!
This company need a NEBOSH qualified, experienced SHEQ Manager to join them acting on a standalone basis initially after a handover period, carrying out a variety of duties, including but not exclusively the following:
- Acting as a ‘hands on’ manager, present on the factory floor, assessing current processes and implementing new systems where necessary
- Responsible for ensuring processes and procedures are understood and followed by developing exceptional relationships with managers and production staff, to achieve ‘buy in’
- Inspiring a culture of adherence to Health & Safety processes
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of management systems, to BS ISO 45001: 2018
- Monitoring of document management; extensive reporting with presentation to SMT
- Carrying out internal audits and reporting on the outcome
- Conducting inductions, and supporting managers with inductions for new employees, ensuring they are aware of all H&S policies and procedures
- Carrying out a review of training and induction processes and upskilling staff where necessary
To be a contender for this Health and Safety Manager role you will have:
- Significant experience working in a Health and Safety role within a Manufacturing environment, with a proven track record on the shop floor, solving SHEQ problems and identifying improvements
- Achieved the NEBOSH general certificate (Level 3) as a minimum
- In depth knowledge and experience of management systems to BS ISO 45001:18
- A meticulous attention to detail, but able to apply ‘bigger picture’ thinking analysing data and reporting on Health and Safety metrics
- Strong IT skills, with proficiency with MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proven track record, with relevant examples of where you can demonstrate the above competencies
