Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator

My client, a leading manufacturing organisation, are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator to join their growing team.
You will be supporting the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental strategies, policies, and practices across all aspects of their operations.
Duties include:
- Supporting the HSE Manager to develop, implement and maintain robust health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the HSE Manager to review HSE policies and procedures to comply with ISO at all times.
- Having solid knowledge of HSE regulations and keeping up to date with emerging trends and developments.
- Ensuring risk assessments are prepared, reviewed and updated when required.
- Leading by example, educating and training employees on HSE policies to ensure compliance is followed at all times whilst promoting a safe working culture.
- Supporting the HSE Manager with submissions to the Environment Agency when required.
- Responsible for undertaking safety tours, inspections and accident investigations.
- Investigating any accidents and looking at root cause analysis to determine how it can be prevented in the future.
- Carrying out workplace audits.
- Responsible for ordering PPE equipment.
- Cover multiple sites when required.
To be considered for this Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator role, you must have/be:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment - food would be advantageous but not essential.
- A strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices.
- An IOSH qualification as a minimum. A NEBOSH or IEMA qualification would also be highly desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience of delivering training to staff and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
