Job Title: Freight Forwarding Administrator
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 per year
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Freight Forwarding Administrator to support our busy operations team. This office-based position involves coordinating freight shipments, managing documentation, and working closely with carriers and clients to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and track import/export shipments across air, sea, and road transport.

Prepare and process essential shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs forms.

Communicate with carriers, agents, customs brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems to track progress.

Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including Incoterms and customs requirements.

Support resolution of shipment delays, discrepancies, and customer enquiries.

Keep detailed records of freight activities for audits and reporting purposes.

Assist the operations team with administrative duties such as scheduling, filing, and reporting.

Help monitor costs and support billing and invoice verification processes.

Contribute ideas and improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a bonus.

Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations is preferred.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Proficiency in MS Office and experience with freight/logistics software.

High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and Incoterms is advantageous.
