Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected UK manufacturer delivering large-scale air handling, ventilation and building services systems across commercial and industrial environments.
This is a hands-on, site-based role for an engineer who is comfortable with a predominantly mechanical position (approximately 70% mechanical assembly and installation), supported by electrical installation, wiring and testing (approximately 30%). Candidates must be happy working across both disciplines.
The Role
- Carry out mechanical assembly, installation and fitting of large air handling and ventilation systems
- Support electrical installation work including wiring, termination, testing and fault-finding
- Work on motors, pumps, isolators and associated control equipment
- Assist with on-site mechanical build, alignment and commissioning activities
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Travel across the UK with regular overnight stays (overnight allowance paid)
- Complete job documentation, service reports and commissioning records
Overtime & Travel
- Weekdays: x1.33
- Saturdays: x1.5
- Sundays: x1.75
Paid door-to-door travel plus a £45 overnight allowance paid weekly. This role offers excellent earning potential for engineers who enjoy nationwide project work.
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Electrical qualification (essential)
- 18th Edition certification (essential)
- Strong mechanical assembly or installation experience
- Experience within commercial or industrial environments
- Valid CSCS card (highly desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay overnight when required
- Comfortable working in a role that is primarily mechanical with an electrical element
