Field Engineer
Scotland – Glasgow & Edinburgh
£30k - £34k (+17% uplift) + Van
Monday – Friday
My client is looking for a field-based engineer to join their team and support with work across 3 different client sites between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Working within the Currency Technology industry, you will be given all necessary training, but candidates from the print industry tend to have the relevant skillset.
However, any field-based engineers with experience working on electrical and mechanical systems will be considered!
Duties include:
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on note counters, bundlers, coin equipment, shrink wrap machines, and more
- Handling helpdesk escalations and maintaining accurate site documentation
- Building strong relationships with customer staff through regular communication and on-site support
- Providing operator training to customer personnel and supporting continuous knowledge development
- Producing clear, timely reports and updates for internal teams and customers
- Any other duties required
The successful Field Engineer will have / be:
- An engineering or electrical qualification
- Experience as a field engineer working with mechanical and electrical products carrying out general maintenance and repairs
- Experience working on currency technology such as note counters etc. is highly advantageous but not essential
- A full UK driving licence
- Located between Edinburgh and Glasgow with quick access to the M8.
