Are you working in a customer-facing technical role and looking for a company that will genuinely invest in your long-term development?
Do you enjoy being out on the road, solving problems, meeting customers and working independently — but still being part of a supportive team?
We are exclusively recruiting for a growing, well-established business seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team due to increased demand and internal progression. Ideally, we are looking for someone based within North London or the surrounding areas due to the travel involved across London and the Southeast.
Having partnered with this company for a number of years, we can confidently say their staff retention is excellent for a reason — engineers are trusted, supported and genuinely well looked after.
This is a rare opportunity for someone with some existing field-based technical experience to receive full specialist training and build a long-term engineering career.
Backgrounds such as telecoms, broadband installation, meter fitting/reading, EPOS, PAT testing, alarm systems, AV, electrical installation or similar would all be of interest.
The role will involve working independently at customer sites installing, servicing and maintaining specialist electrical and AV-related equipment, while delivering a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining specialist equipment (full training provided)
- Planning and managing your own workload effectively
- Completing service paperwork accurately and on time
- Acting as a professional representative of the business on customer sites
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools and stock levels
- Liaising closely with the office-based Service team
- Undertaking overtime where possible
- Supporting customers and resolving issues efficiently on site
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Experience within a field-based technical/service role
- A full UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 points
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisation and time management
- A proactive, reliable and personable approach
- Stable employment history and a strong work ethic
In return, you will join a successful privately-owned business with ambitious growth plans, excellent staff retention and genuine opportunities to progress long term.
Package includes:
- Fully expensed company van with personal use option
- Paid overtime with strong earning potential
- Company bonus scheme
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown
- Pension and optional healthcare
- Ongoing training and development
If you are looking for a company that values attitude, reliability and customer service just as much as technical ability, we would love to hear from you.
