Electrical Site Service Engineer
Based at the West Midlands Technical Centre (Wednesbury area)
£30,000 – £40,000 + Overtime + Progression
UK-wide travel required
We’re working with a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke Air Handling Units to recruit an experienced Electrical Site Service Engineer to join their Site Service Department.
This is a hands-on, field-based role combining electrical installation, testing, and refurbishment work on large, custom-built equipment for clients across the UK.
What you’ll be doing
- Installing, servicing, and maintaining bespoke Air Handling Units at customer sites
- Electrically installing fans, motors, and components following CAD drawings and verifying controls
- Testing, inspecting, and quality-checking electrical work in line with current regulations
- Supporting mechanical engineers with installation tasks where needed
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on site
- Liaising professionally with customers, contractors, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
- Travelling nationally to client locations, with regular overnight stays
- Working from the West Midlands depot when not on site – assisting with assembly, testing, and inspection work
What we’re looking for
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) – essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – essential
- Experience in electrical installation and field service work, ideally within the building services or HVAC industry
- Competence in reading and interpreting CAD drawings
- Strong practical skills using hand tools and working on heavy, complex assemblies
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and stay overnight as required
- A full UK driving licence and ability to commute to the West Midlands depot
- CSCS card and AHU experience – desirable
