Are you a mechanically and electrically skilled Pump Engineer looking for a role that offers real earning potential, varied technical work and long-term stability?
We’re working with a well-established, fast-growing engineering business operating across water infrastructure, installation and specialist pump projects. Due to continued contract growth, they are strengthening their Northern engineering team.
This is not a basic service role. You’ll be involved in technically varied installations, fault finding and project-based works across wastewater infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Service, maintenance and installation of wastewater & clean water pumping systems
- Electrical fault finding on pump controls and associated systems
- Mechanical pump removal, replacement and installation
- Working across sewage pumping stations and treatment sites
- Supporting technical installation and commissioning projects
- Working across both reactive and planned works
- Participating in a 1-in-4 on-call rota
You’ll be paid door to door, and work will be kept regional where possible.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working on pump systems
- Strong mechanical AND electrical capability (dual-skilled essential)
- Level 3 electrical qualification desirable
- Utilities background highly advantageous (Thames, Southern, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities etc.)
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varied site environments
- Based within 45 minutes of York
