Customer Service Executive
Location: Dartford (hybrid working)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation that supplies specialist products and solutions to commercial customers across the UK and internationally. This role would particularly suit someone who has worked within a technical, engineering, manufacturing, automotive, industrial or product-based business and understands the importance of delivering exceptional service while coordinating with multiple internal departments.
The Role
This is far more than a traditional customer service position. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, becoming a trusted point of contact and building long-term relationships that help drive customer satisfaction, retention and growth.
You'll be responsible for supporting customers throughout their journey, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, orders are processed accurately and customers receive a consistently high level of service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of business customers
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries and account support
- Processing orders, quotations, returns and related administration accurately and efficiently
- Proactively contacting customers to understand upcoming requirements and maintain strong engagement
- Following up on quotations, enquiries and outstanding actions
- Identifying opportunities to introduce additional products or services where appropriate
- Supporting customer projects and coordinating activities across internal teams
- Maintaining accurate records using CRM and business systems
- Producing reports and monitoring account activity to ensure excellent service levels
- Working closely with sales, operations and technical teams to deliver the best possible customer experience
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with customers and takes pride in providing a professional, responsive and solutions-focused service.
You'll have:
- Previous experience within a Customer Service, Sales Support, Account Management or Internal Sales role
- Experience working in a B2B environment
- A background within engineering, manufacturing, technical, automotive, industrial or product-led businesses would be highly advantageous
- Experience using CRM, ERP or business management systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence building relationships over the phone and via email
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to help customers
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of work
