Customer Service Administrator – 6 Month FTC (initially 2 weeks temp)
Tonbridge | £28k-32k dependent on experience (negotiable) | 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility here for the right candidate)
Are you an organised, proactive administrator with excellent customer service skills?
We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Tonbridge to recruit a Customer Service Administrator on an initial 2-week temporary basis, with the opportunity to move into a 6-month fixed term contract and potential for a permanent extension.
In this varied role, you’ll be supporting both the logistics and sales teams, ensuring smooth processing of orders, handling customer queries, updating systems and coordinating with internal departments to keep everything on track.
Duties will include:
✅ Processing orders and updating customer records
✅ Handling incoming calls and emails from customers and suppliers
✅ Coordinating logistics to arrange deliveries including scheduling drivers and liaising with the production team
✅ Providing general administrative support to the wider team
The ideal candidate will:
✔ Have solid experience in a customer facing administration role within an office environment
✔ Be confident communicating by phone and email
✔ Be immediately available to start work on an ongoing basis
✔Have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
✔ Have good IT skills and strong attention to detail – creating basic formulas using Excel as a minimum
✔ Have a positive, proactive and confident approach
✔ Be a driver with their own transport due to the location
