Compliance Officer
Hybrid – Central London | Up to £70K+ DOE | Real Estate & Probate Insurance | Bonus + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance professional to join a successful, fast paced, and close-knit specialist insurance business.
With a strong market presence and around 50 employees, this is a key hire for a well-established team.
The business is well-regarded within its niche – primarily legal indemnity insurance across real estate and probate – and the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running with a good understanding of this complex regulatory space.
What you'll be doing:
- Taking full ownership of the Compliance function, working closely with senior leadership, including the COO and Operations Director
- Playing a key role in decision-making and strategic projects, with the autonomy to shape and develop the role further
- Ensuring the business remains fully compliant with FCA and broader regulatory requirements, including strong oversight of STA processes
- Acting as a key point of contact across the business, collaborating with underwriters, IT, and wider operational functions
What we're looking for:
- A compliance professional with solid experience in a regulated insurance (ideally Lloyds syndicate environment – preferably legal indemnity, probate, or real estate focused
- Someone confident, detail-oriented, and self-motivated – you’ll be trusted to take the lead and work independently
- An easy-going and diligent operator who thrives in a smaller business with minimal red tape and a flexible, agile approach
- Exposure to working in a hybrid model and comfortable being hands-on across the business
- Proven ability to influence, advise, and support senior stakeholders
