A leading specialist in temporary heating and cooling solutions is looking for a fully qualified Commercial Gas & F-Gas Engineer to join their Midlands team.
This is a practical, field-based engineering role working on commercial boiler and chiller plant across installation, service, maintenance and emergency response. The work is hands-on and varied, involving plant rooms, mechanical pipework, and temporary heating & cooling systems across commercial and industrial sites.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Installation, service and maintenance of temporary commercial boilers and chillers
- Working on commercial boiler systems and forced draft burners
- Fault-finding across heating, cooling and plant systems
- Mechanical pipework modifications within plant rooms
- Working on chilled water systems, AHUs and associated equipment
- Supporting installation and commissioning of temporary plant
- Attending emergency callouts on a rota basis
- Working across commercial / industrial customer sites throughout the Midlands
- Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and F-Gas regulations
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring both mechanical and technical capability — not purely service or commissioning.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Commercial Gas Safe (fully qualified)
- F-Gas Refrigeration certification
- Proven experience on commercial boiler systems
- Strong fault-finding across heating / cooling plant
- Experience working in plant rooms / commercial environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work overtime and attend call-outs
Desirable
- Experience with chillers, chilled water systems or AHUs
- Mechanical pipework / plant room installation experience
- BMS / controls knowledge
- Oil / dual fuel burner experience
