An established aerospace manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its machine shop team with an experienced CNC Machinist / Machine Shop Operative.
This is a hands-on role within a precision engineering environment, suited to someone who enjoys variety, accuracy and working to exacting standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Machining aerospace components using CNC turning, CNC milling and manual machinery.
- Working from engineering drawings, job cards and machining instructions.
- Carrying out inspection checks, including first-offs and in-process checks.
- Accurately recording work completed via shop-floor systems.
- Supporting the smooth flow of parts through the machine shop.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and quality.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Background in machining or manufacturing (aerospace experience is highly advantageous).
- Experience with CNC machines (turning and/or milling).
- Confident reading technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-led environment.
- A good level of physical fitness.
- Reliable, proactive and team-focused.
