Are you a detail-driven CAD Designer looking to develop your career within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment?
We’re working with a long-established business producing high-quality engineered products for a range of commercial and industrial applications. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking for a technically capable designer to join their close-knit design team.

The role:
- Produce and amend accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing purposes
- Support sales and production teams with technical drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure designs are practical, efficient and cost-effective
- Maintain and develop CAD standards, templates and libraries
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, technical standards and safety requirements
- Contribute to design improvements and process development initiatives
The person:
- Skilled user of SolidWorks (essential)
- Experience creating detailed manufacturing or construction drawings
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, tolerances and materials
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across departments
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Desirable:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Product Design or similar
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing or engineering setting
- Familiarity with relevant British Standards
The package:
- £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
- £30–33k: developing designers with training and mentoring
- £35–40k: experienced designers managing projects independently
- Clear career path to Senior CAD Designer or Technical Project Lead
