About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Bristol office and play a key role in driving new business across road, sea, air, and courier freight services.
This is a hands-on commercial role where your ability to win new clients and grow profitable accounts will be highly valued and rewarded.
What You’ll Be Doing

Sourcing and securing new, regular, and profitable freight customers (road, sea, air, courier), including clients needing warehousing or customs solutions

Identifying and converting new business opportunities and exploring ways to offer additional value to existing customers

Working closely with the operations team to ensure a personable, tailored service for the clients you bring on board

Managing account profitability, ensuring clear and maximised profit margins on all accounts and jobs

Conducting face-to-face client meetings (travel required)

What We’re Looking For

Proven sales experience within freight forwarding/logistics, with a successful track record in Air, Sea, or Road sales

Strong understanding of global logistics and transport solutions
-
Resilient and positive mindset, especially when facing challenges

Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills

Strong negotiation and closing skills

Confident communicator, both over the phone and face-to-face
-
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline

High level of attention to detail and accountability

IT-literate and comfortable with CRM systems and reporting tools
