We are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of our client, based in the Medway Towns, to join their Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accuracy across reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, and analysis.
Duties will include:
- Reviewing P&L activity, posting journals, and supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing prepayments, fixed assets (including depreciation/disposals), and intercompany reconciliations
- Assisting with cashflow forecasting
- Handling sales invoicing, customer reporting (including rebates), and reviewing customer/supplier ledgers
- Completing bank reconciliations, multi-currency payment runs, and related reporting
- Supporting profitability, cost-centre and stock valuation reporting, audits, and ad-hoc finance projects
The successful candidate will:
- Be available at short notice
- Have previous experience in a similar finance role
- Have strong reconciliation and journal posting experience
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
