We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global logistics operation for an Air Freight Export Operator to join their busy Egham operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid airfreight background to work in a professional, fast-paced environment and manage end-to-end export operations for international shipments.
The Role
As an Air Export Operator, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of air export shipments, ensuring compliance with all operational and legal requirements. You will act as the first point of contact for assigned jobs, liaise with overseas partners, and provide exceptional customer service. The role also involves occasional warehouse support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage airfreight export operations, including receipt of bookings, arranging collections, booking with carriers, and completing export clearances.
- Act as the primary contact for assigned shipments, overseeing jobs from start to finish.
- Generate transit documents, customs entries, and ensure compliance with HMRC and international regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, agents, suppliers, and overseas offices via phone and email.
- Assist with departmental administration including job costing and invoicing.
- Provide holiday and operational cover in the warehouse when required.
- Proactively manage issues to prevent delays or additional costs, escalating to management where necessary.

- Able to lift and handle heavy goods when required.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
