Our client, a dynamic organisation based in North Kent, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team in a newly created role.
Duties will include:
- Review, validate, and match invoices with proper coding and supporting documents
- Prepare and execute timely vendor payments to meet agreed terms
- Check vendor statements and AP reports for accuracy and consistency
- Keep financial records complete, organised, and up to date
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices or payments
- Provide clerical assistance and support audits within the finance team
- Help onboard new vendors and maintain strong working relationships
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, with a good grasp of fundamental accounting principles
- Be highly accurate and thorough in processing financial information
- Be able to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines efficiently
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams
