Our client, based in the West Kent area are looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant on an initial 12 month contract. You will join a friendly and collaborative finance team and after an initial training period the company offers a hybrid working model, working 2 days a week from home.
The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function across the business. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices and payments
- Preparing payment runs
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Managing CIS deductions and submissions
- Posting intercompany transactions and journals
- Monitoring arrears and issuing late payment notices
- Raising ad-hoc recharges
- Processing employee expense claims
- Maintaining finance schedules and trackers
- Supporting with office stationery ordering and general administration
- Assisting with additional ad-hoc finance duties as required
Suitable candidates will have experience covering the accounts duties listed above and be available immediately or at short notice. Experience with CIS payments would be a distinct advantage.
