Duties will include:
- Ownership of month-end and management accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
- Journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Project/contract accounting, including WIP and revenue recognition
- Cashflow, forecasting, and audit support
- Hands-on day-to-day accounting as required
- Driving process improvements, controls, and system enhancements
- Establishing finance procedures and working closely with the wider business
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong experience in a similar role
- Have experience with project or contract accounting
- Be proactive, detail-focused, and commercially minded
- Have strong Excel and accounting systems skills
- Be happy to be hands-on across a broad range of duties
- Be part-qualified (still studying) or qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Have experience in a PE-backed, growing, or transitioning business (desirable)
- Have exposure to system implementations or finance transformation projects (desirable)
In return, the company is offering:
- A competitive salary
- Hybrid working (2 days per week from home)
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays)
- Study support for professional qualifications
- The opportunity to shape and influence a newly created role within a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development
- The chance to build and improve finance processes from the ground up
Please note due to the expected high volume of applicants only suitable candidates will be contacted.
